This small tapestry is part of a series of experimental miniatures using a wide variety of textures. The little candle stands in the snow covered landscape. The candle flame represents the Jewish soul (neshama) yearning to be reconnected to the Torah and to other Jewish souls, but it is lost in an icy and foreign wilderness.
